Research interests

  • Plasticity of visual functions and cross-modal plasticity in healthy and patient populations, recovery of visual functions by training
  • Spatial attention and visual perception in healthy, aging, and visually impaired populations
  • Residual visual performance in blind visual field regions of patients
  • Aging of visual processing - changes over the life span, particularly of dynamic vision
  • Processing of temporal information in the visual system of healthy, aging, and visually impaired populations
  • Visual pseudo-hallucinations in visually impaired patients, connection with brain plasticity
