  • Plasticity of visual functions and cross-modal plasticity in healthy and patient populations, recovery of visual functions by training
  • Spatial attention and visual perception in healthy, aging, and visually impaired populations
  • Residual visual performance in blind visual field regions of patients
  • Aging of visual processing - changes over the life span, particularly of dynamic vision
  • Processing of temporal information in the visual system of healthy, aging, and visually impaired populations
  • Visual pseudo-hallucinations in visually impaired patients, connection with brain plasticity
  • Psychophysical test methods for patients with visual impairments, evaluation of visual performance and of   treatment methods
  • Combination of behavioral, EEG, and fMRI-methods for investigation of visual functions
  • Brain synchronization in music
  • Neuroaesthetics
