Scope
This winter school is designed to address the questions of young scientists starting to work on surface and interface studies with synchrotron radiation.
The programme is set up of 45 minute lectures on synchrotron radiation based methods in the fields of spectroscopy, microscopy as well as diffraction and scattering. Illustrating examples will come from all fields of interface and surface science. In addition, a poster session will allow the participants to present their own results to an international auditorium.
The format of the workshop will be held very informal to stimulate discussions among senior and junior scientists. The winter school will be held at the Hanse Wissenschaftskolleg (www.h-w-k.de) in Delmenhorst near Bremen. The HWK supplies very nice workshop facilities for up to 40 participants.
