Marrow fibrosis is a key factor in diagnosing blood diseases, traditionally requiring special silver stains that are costly and time-consuming. Our project seeks to revolutionize this process by using artificial intelligence to transform routine, widely available H&E stained bone marrow images into virtual silver-stained images. This transformation allows automated and accurate
grading of marrow fibrosis without the need for expensive staining procedures. By incorporating patient-specific information and fibrosis severity labels, our AI model improves the quality of this virtual staining. The outcome will be a user-friendly software tool that helps doctors quickly and reliably assess marrow fibrosis, improving diagnosis and patient care while reducing costsand delays. This innovative approach has the potential to make advanced diagnostics accessible worldwide, especially in resource-limited settings.
