This project aims to develop highly efficient, recoverable (photo)catalysts by incorporating noble metals into periodic mesoporous organosilicas (PMO) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) nanohybrid materials. The goal is to create high performance (photo)functional nanomaterials that can be successfully used for (photo)catalytic hydrogen fuel cell production. Novel advanced hybrid nanomaterials with dual porosities, including those from the cavities of the tetracationic imidazolium-based macrocycle and the network formation, will be explored for their potential application for biomass conversion as well as (photo)catalytic processes for the sustainable hydrogen production for fuel cell. In this regard, several ordered porous materials have been developed such as PMOs and COFs which are interesting supramolecular frameworks of molecular cages containing intrinsic intercage cavities and porosities to study in our research group.
